The M393A4K40DB2-CVF is a Samsung 32GB DDR4 registered DIMM rated at 2933 MT/s in a dual-rank by four organization. Built on Samsung D-die, the M393A4K40DB2-CVF assembles 36 devices of 2Gb x4 organization onto a 288-pin module running at 1.2 V. It ships in tray packaging for server integration.

The x4 device organization used by the M393A4K40DB2-CVF is what enables Chipkill-class advanced ECC in enterprise servers, correcting a whole failed DRAM device rather than a single bit, so x4 RDIMMs are preferred where uptime matters more than module cost. This module is used to populate DDR4 server platforms in the 2933 MT/s generation, commonly two or eight modules per socket. Datacenter operators, server OEMs and integrators maintaining installed DDR4 fleets are the main buyers, including for capacity expansion and field replacement of matched modules.
