Quality is what we do. It’s a given that makes its way into every step of our process. Our customers expect it and we deliver it.
We’ve put in place a process of checks and balances that ensures quality and precision at every turn to deliver the components our customers need accurately and efficiently.
Our real-time quality database, SCOUT, holds and catalogues millions of digital photographs, receipt information, die codes, manufacturer data sheets and PCN’s, and inspection records, available to our inspectors worldwide with the touch of a keystroke as they inspect. Our in-house testing, inspection and failure analysis capability includes chemical decap, real-time X-Ray, XRF, Heated chemical test, and electrical test of components and hard drives, memory and CPU’s. We continuously improve by integrating the latest technologies. We never sit still.
We employ FMEA to insure every conceivable gap is filled. From maintaining an extensive database of sources that are thoroughly screened and rated on a real-time basis to our IDEA STD 1010 compliant 21 point inspection process, we never become complacent. Our key customers are so confident in our process they routinely send us parts from other suppliers to inspect. Each warehouse in the Fusion network operates the exact same way, down to the grounding wire used, ESD benches, training, and certifications. Our inspectors work to confirm everything: against the data sheet, against a golden sample, against the specifications. Fusion has significant in-house testing capabilities to confirm that everything is as it should be.
Fusion boasts one of the most experienced teams in the industry. Each inspector is IDEA ICE 3000 certified and carries an average of over 7 years of independent distribution inspection experience. Fusion maintains leadership roles in key industry associations including the IDEA. We also can claim numerous firsts: first to introduce E&O insurance to protect our customers, first to install an advanced lab and first to develop the pre-shipment checklist.
Fusion believes the key to quality is constant learning. We sponsor both internal and external training for our teams that cover such diverse topics as export control and compliance to advanced inspection techniques to safe operation of the decap machine. We utilize innovative methods to keep our teams up to date, motivated, and constantly improving. Our apprenticeship training program allows junior inspectors and test technicians to learn under the tutelage of experienced managers.
